2018-19 Mystery Art Box Challenge Season

Team Prime Time’s Mystery Art Box Challenge started in the fall of 2017. It’s a monthly, inter-site competition that includes all eight Team Prime Time after school programs. Each school receives one box of identical, mystery art supplies, one theme and one hour to create a masterpiece. The students must incorporate all items from the box. May 2019 / Theme: Food

Mystery Art Items: Canvas, Pipe Cleaners, Moss Sheet, Paint, Markers, Chalk, Bow, Bath Sponge and 30 Minute Mystery Ingredient- Flower Lei

April 2019 / Theme: School Supply Fashion

Schools had to make a life size outfit with two accessories. Mystery Art Items: Notebook Paper, Rubber Bands, Construction Paper, Post-Its, Pencils, Paper Clips and 30 Minute Mystery Ingredient- Erasers

March 2019 / Theme: Fairy Tales

Schools had to make sign in and out board. Mystery Art Items: Clock, Popsicle Sticks, Pipe Cleaners, Permanent Markers, Tri-fold Display Stand, Foam Sheets and 30 Minute Mystery Item- Jump Rope

After the project, the displays were used for the site’s sign out location.

February 2019 / Theme: Robots

Mystery Art Items: Plant Label, Wire, Permanent Markers, Paint, 2 Clay Pots, 1 Planter and 30 Minute Mystery Ingredient- String

After the project, the flower pots were used to start a garden at each school.
