Mystery Art Box Challenge- Live Edition May 22, 2018

On May 22, 2018 Team Prime Time hosted the Spring Art Showcase that featured TPT’s third live edition of the Mystery Art Box Challenge. Marina Del Rey Middle School, Webster Middle School and Emerson Middle School each competed live at Webster Middle School. We also debuted our parachute for the Parachutes For The Planet. Learn more about our parachute project HERE.
For the first time ever, we featured a Virtual Division with Westside Global Awareness Magnet and Studio School on live web cameras!
We had Glenna Avila from CalArts as a celebrity judge. With the theme of Nature all the schools created amazing and imaginative art pieces. Students voted alongside Glenna to pick the winning project. After the judging finished, it was declared a tie between Marina Del Rey Middle School and Webster Middle School and each were awarded the Mystery Art Box Challenge Champion Trophy.
For the Virtual Division, Westside Global Awareness Magnet was declared the winner with their project called “The Seasoning of Life.”
